Lisa Sukenic is a poet, author and 4th grade teacher at the University of Chicago Lab Schools. Her work has appeared in Everyday Haiku and short stories in the Off Campus Writers Workshop Anthologies. She was a finalist in the Many Voices Competition in 2016. She was the winner of the Prairie Writers Day Manuscript contest in 2016 and in 2019 was awarded a finalist in Regal House/Fitzroy’s MG Kraken Contest for her novel in verse MILES FROM MOTOWN, which will be out in August 2021.
